I talk a lot about Norwex, and when asked what it is I always say it is a natural alternative to common cleaning products on the store shelves. But really it is SO much more than that, and today I'm going to break it down for you and talk to you about the Norwex Difference!
A lot of people ask me why Norwex!? When I could just go to the store and get the same thing. Which is valid, but are you sure you're getting the same thing? Let's see if that's true! Norwex is incomparable to store bought items. And I'm not just saying that. You're saving money, the environment and your health by radically reducing harsh chemicals in your home! So how does it all work?! Well before we can break down how Norwex Microfiber works you need to understand what Microfiber is to begin with. "Microfiber (or microfibre) is synthetic fiber finer than one denier or decitex/thread, having a diameter of less than ten micrometres. This is smaller than the diameter of a strand of silk (which is approximately one denier), which is itself about 1/6 the diameter of a human hair. The most common types of microfibers are made from polyesters, polyamides (e.g., nylon, Kevlar, Nomex, trogamide), or a conjugation of polyester, polyamide, and polypropylene. Microfiber is used to make mats, knits, and weaves for apparel, upholstery, industrial filters, and cleaning products. The shape, size, and combinations of synthetic fibers are selected for specific characteristics, including softness, toughness, absorption, water repellency, electrostatics, and filtering capabilities." Norwex microfiber is a blend of polyester and polyamide that is 1/200th the size of a strand of human hair. That is WAY cool! Especially considering regular microfiber is 1/6th the size of a strand of human hair!! And you know what?! The Norwex EnviroCloth is SO thick it contains more than 3 million meters of microfiber! If you unraveled it, it would stretch all the way to Mexico !! That's A LOT of microfiber!!! Plus when used properly, our microfiber removes everything from the surface, up to 99% of bacteria!! We also have our BacLock agent! Norwex has developed a unique technology that combines an antibacterial silver-based agent with our microfiber. The antibacterial agent is embedded inside the tiny microfiber. The agent is solely designed to inhibit bacterial odour, mold, and/or mildew growth within the cloth. The silver antibacterial fiber has self purification properties So what's in it for you? Cloths that essentially get to work cleaning themselves as they dry! Hate the smell of Grandma's crocheted cloth? Tired of microwaving sponges?(apparently this is a thing!!) Sick of wasting money on, storing and then tossing away ALL that paper towel? Frustrated by the piles of bath towels that are constantly waiting to be washed?! ENTER BacLock! So how do you maximize your BacLock features? 1.Rinse your Norwex cleaning cloths in hot water after each use! 2.Scrub the fibers against themselves to help remove any loose food, dirt, or gunk! 3.SQUEEZE the cloth hard to remove as much water as possible. Then SQUEEZE it again! 4. Hang your Norwex microfiber by the tag to dry! It likes that! And that's it, it's just THAT easy!! A lot of the time though people misunderstand how the silver in our cloths are working to clean the cloth. There is a misconception that silver ions kill bacteria but that is NOT the case. Active silver ions (AG+) inactivate the bacteria cells that the microfiber has picked up. This is done in three ways: 1. Breakdown of a cell’s life supporting functions by inhibiting the transmembrane transport, thereby starving the bacterium 2. Inactivation of intracellular enzymes that“digest the food” 3. Damage the bacterium cell’s DNA so that it cannot reproduce So, when you clean a surface, then hang the Norwex Microfiber cloth back up, the silver ions are inactivating any bacteria inside, meaning that within 24 hours (the amount of time the silver ions need to perform), your cloth has become clean, and is ready for its next use! Now, that does NOT mean that you never need to launder your cloth! Depending on the number of bacteria and the lapse of time between the use of the cloth, overgrowth can still occur within a Norwex microfiber cloth. So, once your cloth is heavily soiled, either after one use, or multiple uses, you launder it. (I usually deep clean all my cloths anywhere from every 2-4 weeks followed by throwing them right into the laundry!) Now I'm sure some of you are saying these are amazing facts, and points about Norwex microfiber and BacLock, but how do we know what you're saying is actually true!? Well, Norwex hires a THIRD PARTY LAB to test the Norwex Microfiber for effectiveness! These lab tests reveal that our microfiber removes 99% of bacteria from the surface (that’s why we can make the claim)! Lab testing is also done to ensure cross-contamination does not occur. Tests demonstrate that you don’t have to worry about cross-contamination, as the microfiber is holding on to everything it picks up, until you wash it! This is WHY I do what I do! And LOVE these products so much!! Not only the fact that we have THIRD PARTY LAB test results standing behind us, but the fact that we also offer a thicker microfiber cloth with amazing BacLock technology that no other company can mimic or duplicate! It is beyond exciting, and humbling for me to offer these cloths as a cleaning alternative to families who deserve SO much better than store bought chemicals. if you're ready to make the switch to Norwex, comment below and I will get into contact with you about we can make the switch to a healthier, safer way of cleaning! 💁💃

When people hear I work for Norwex, a lot of the first questions are:
1. Why direct sales?! 2. Why all natural? 3. Does it really make THAT much of a difference in your life?! (insert eye roll here) I felt maybe I should answer all of these questions now while I have the time, because usually I only get one answer in and it's usually the answer to the 3rd question. So, here we go! Why direct sales? Why not direct sales?! The WFDSA (World Federation of Direct Selling Associations) has reported recently that the direct selling industry’s sales volume was $189.6 billion in 2017, representing an increase of 1.6% compared to previous year. Yes, you read that correctly, 189.6 billion in sales volume... from people working at home or off their phones... So why do I want to be apart of direct sales?! Because it is an area that is growing and expanding and I LOVE the opportunity to work from home every single day, being my own boss, and not missing one moment of Addilyn's childhood. Why all natural? Again, I ask... why NOT all natural? But no, in all honesty this was a very personal choice for Paul and myself to make for our family. When I was pregnant with Addilyn, I worked in an environment that yes was fantastic, but where I was consistently using chemicals to clean. This is the standard health practices, so it's understandable. But at the time I was unaware of the consequences I was about to face when Addilyn was born. See I used a lot of bleaches, and harsh chemical cleaners at work and at home we weren't really using anything different than I was at my job. Breathing that in while growing a baby, I don't recommend it. But they put it on store shelves so it has to be safe right? Wrong, so very wrong. Due to a lack of me being fully aware just how bad these chemical cleaners were, Addilyn was born with a cyst on her brain, that grew all throughout my pregnancy. As a result Addilyn now has a speech delay and is facing many other difficulties in her development. So why all natural? Because Addilyn's body deserves a break, and deserves better. It was hands down not even a question the minute we found out she had a cyst, and pinpointed the reason as to why that all chemicals we're leaving our home. Our home has now been chemical free for 2 years !! Does it really make THAT much of a difference in your life?! First off, take your eye roll back when you ask me this question, because my answer will always be YES! |
